About Priya

About the
Founder & CEO.

Nyoo Health's founder and CEO, Priya Bathija, is a nationally-recognized healthcare leader, attorney, and policy expert. 

 

With 20 years of experience working for, in, and with hospitals, she has led the design, implementation and growth of initiatives that make the health system work better for everyone.

 

Previously, she was at the American Hospital Association where she led policy efforts and strategic initiatives on value, health equity and maternal health. She started her career as a health care attorney and served as in-house counsel and a member of the leadership teams at ProMedica and MedStar Health.

 

In addition to her role at Nyoo Health, Priya is an adjunct professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law where she teaches health care payment and policy.

 

She also serves as a public board member for the American Board of Medical Specialties, the largest physician-led speciality certification organization in the U.S. In addition, she is on the board of 2020 Mom, an organization closing gaps in maternal mental health, and Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, which provides legal aid to low-income residents. She also serves on the South Asian Bar Association of North America executive committee where she founded and facilitates the SABA Leadership Institute, a mid-career development program that has allowed South Asian attorneys to grow and thrive.
