About Priya

About the
Founder & CEO.

Nyoo Health's founder and CEO, Priya Bathija, is a nationally-recognized healthcare leader, attorney, and policy expert. 

 

With 20 years of experience working for, in, and with hospitals, she has led the design, implementation and growth of initiatives that make the health system work better for everyone.

 

Previously, she was at the American Hospital Association where she led policy efforts and strategic initiatives on value, health equity and maternal health. She started her career as a health law attorney and served as in-house counsel and a member of the leadership teams at ProMedica and MedStar Health.

 

Priya is also a Distinguished Practitioner in Residence at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and an adjunct professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She teaches healthcare payment and policy at both universities.

 

She has extensive experience serving on nonprofit boards. Currently, she serves as a public board member for the American Board of Medical Specialties, the largest physician-led speciality certification organization in the U.S. 

In addition, she is an active leader in the South Asian Bar Association locally and nationally. She created and spent several years facilitating the SABA Leadership Institute, a leadership development program that has allowed mid-career South Asian attorneys to grow and thrive.
